FPL Utility Rebates

You may qualify for energy rebates through FPL when you purchase a high-efficiency heating or cooling system. So, on top of the money you save on your monthly utilities, you can potentially pocket a return from your local electricity provider.

Here’s how…

Call CMi; our staff is fully qualified to help you select the comfort system that best fits your needs. When we install a complete high-efficiency A/C system with a 16 or 17 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating); you’ll receive an FPL rebate (Visit www.fpl.com for their rebate schedule) deducted from the purchase price from us based on the efficiency rating and size of your new system.

Energy saving tips…

  • Set up a Maintenance Plan with CMi for your A/C Equipment to keep your system(s) running at full efficiency.
  • Clean or replace your air conditioner’s filter on the 1st of each month to trim your cooling costs and help your unit run more efficiently.
  • Turn off your ceiling fan when you leave the room.
  • Cool your home to 78 degrees or warmer with the thermostat fan switch on “auto.” For additional savings, raise your thermostat to 82 degrees or warmer when you’re away from home.
  • Have CMi install a programmable or WiFi thermostat to adjust the temperature automatically and maximize your energy savings.
  • Limit the time you run your pool pump.
  • Keep the interior door and vents open to help your A/C circulate air more efficiently and maintain proper airflow through your system.
  • If you have a lot of windows, you’ll save on air conditioning if you keep the drapes or blinds closed when you’re not home.
  • If you have central air, check all the ducts and seals. If they leak, you’re wasting money.
  • How old is your air conditioner? The older it is, the less efficient it is. And if it’s 10 years old or more, it has to work much harder to cool the same area compared to a new unit. Consider buying a new A/C system.
